When Will You Need Insurance Construction Restoration?

When are you most likely to need insurance construction restoration? The quick and easy answer to that one is always; when you least expect it. That is quite often when people call us at a time when they need insurance claim restorations on their home. They never expected it to happen.

Summer is the time of year when most people experience their need for us. Bad things aren’t supposed to happen to us in summer right? We would all love to think that way. However, mother nature sure comes up with some big surprises for us. Nature can unleash a load of fury. Just think about the thunderstorms we may experience. It always seems like one minute we are outdoors in the sun and having a great time. Suddenly though a storm appears. It decides to unleash some very high winds. Many of those winds are almost as strong as tornados and they can do a lot of damage to our homes. You’ve seen it before. Trees are taken down. Shingles and siding are torn off of houses and blown about.

Wind Damage

When you look at situations like that, you then realize that wind is a major force to reckon with. That particular tree may have stood 70 years or more without any problems and then suddenly, that huge and powerful, sturdy tree is down. Sometimes that down is on your roof. Sometimes those trees crash down and invade parts of your house. Sure it’s nice to have houseplants, but, not like this.

Hail Damage

High winds and volatile weather like this can also very easily produce hail. Most times the hail we get is pretty mild overall. But, as those little ice balls increase in size, they too can do a lot of damage to your home. It can leave your siding dented. In the case of vinyl siding, it can crack it or even leave large and unsightly holes in its wake. When those ice balls get larger they have the ability to leave holes or dents in your roof. This leaves your roof ready to allow water to pour in and do additional damage to your home.

Water Damage

Of course, there is water damage that occurs when you have holes in your roof from hail or very high winds that cause damage to your roof. That tree that fell down allows a lot of water to enter to where it was not wanted. If any part of this storm-induced fire, then it must be extinguished. Firefighters will use all of the water necessary to stop the fire and prevent it from going any further. A lot of water will be used on almost every part of your house both indoors and outdoors. You will end up with a lot of water damage at this point. Even if parts of your home were not directly affected by the fire, you can also end up with smoke damage that permeates your home and those areas too will need to be rebuilt.

Fire Damage

Not all of your insurance claims restorations will be done because of summer storms. But there are many times that it works out that way. Electrical fires happen or fires start from cooking. There are other accidents that may cause a fire in your home. Water damage is not only from storms. Water damage can happen because of sump pump backups and so much more.
